City of Liberty Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When is City Hall open?
A. City Hall is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Q. Where is City Hall located?
A. The address of City Hall is 101 East Kansas Street. The location is at the southeast corner of the downtown square near the intersections of Kansas and Missouri Streets. The entrance to the police facility is located on Missouri Street and can be accessed 24 hours a day.

Q. When is the Community Center open?
A. The community center hours, excluding holidays, are:

Q. Where is City Court?
A. Municipal Court is held in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 101 East Kansas Street, Liberty, Missouri. For more information on Liberty Municipal Court, click here.

Q. Where is the Silver (Senior Citizens) Center located?
A. The Liberty Silver Center is located inside the Liberty Community Center at 1600 South Withers Road. The center is a place where older adults (60 and older) and physically challenged individuals (ages 18-59) come to socialize, participate in activities, and enjoy a hot nutritious meal.

Q. How do I report a street light that is out?
A. The City of Liberty contracts with KCP&L for the installation and maintenance of its street lights.
If there is a streetlight that is out, please contact KCP&L at 1-888-LIGHT-KC (544-4852) or online at http://kcpl.com/reportoutage.html. Please be prepared to provide a house number that is adjacent to the street light or a location description of the problematic light. The pole number posted on the light may also assist in the location of the light.
You can also contact the City of Liberty Streets and Utilities Maintenance Division at 816-439-4514 with a location of the light. That information will be forwarded on to KCP&L who will make the repair.
