An important component of Liberty’s recycling program is Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection. Liberty area residents may participate at no charge in the Regional HHW Center collection program. This includes access to mobile collection events in Liberty and other participating communities as well as access to permanent facilities in Kansas City and Lee’s Summit.

Permanent Facilities

Kansas City Facility 4700 Deramus Hours: Thurs. & Fri. 9 a.m - 6 p.m.; Sat. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Appointments are NOT required T: 816.513.8400

Lee's Summit Facility 2101 S.E. Hamblen Road Open April through November from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Appointments are required. Call 816.969.1805

Please keep waste materials in their original containers and do not mix them.
