    This is the first in a series of guided walking tours co-sponsored by the City of Liberty’s Preservation Office and Historic Liberty, Inc. All guided tours are free and open to the public. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

  2. Art Exhibit Reception at the Library: John T. Williams

    May 12, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    The paintings of John T. Williams are now on display at three locations in Liberty: The Atrium Gallery at Liberty City Hall, the Liberty Community Center, and the Liberty Branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library through June 27. Williams started painting as a child, under the instruction of his father. He went on to study painting at Penn Valley Community College, the Kansas City Art Institute, and the University of Central Missouri. "I enjoy painting landscapes, and I am attracted to color," says Williams. "I try to stay away from the darker side of life and present the beautiful side of life in my work." The exhibits and the reception is free and open to the public during normal business hours. The exhibits are presented by the Liberty Arts Commission, the Liberty Community Center, and the Mid-Continent Library-Liberty Branch.
