Dog Obedience: Instructed by Rosemarie von Fintel, these classes are based on the Canine Good Citizen Program from the American Kennel Club. Rosemarie has more than 20 years of dog obedience experience and provides proven techniques that will benefit both you and your dog. There are beginner and advanced classes where you will work on skills needed in everyday life, house breaking, grooming, problem solving and more.
LAFY Raising Resilient Kids Parenting Class: This series will engage parents in learning the foundations of Conscious Discipline including self-regulation strategies, conflict resolution and building healthy relationships at home. Conscious Discipline provides a framework for us to understand the internal brain-body states that are most likely to produce certain behaviors in children and in ourselves.
Natural Grocers Nutrition Class: Achieving your healthiest weight is not about dieting or even pure willpower, but rather understanding how certain foods affect blood sugar levels and appetite. Learn how nutrient-dense meals support healthy metabolism and which nutrient supplements support healthy blood sugar levels and appetite control.
Hy-Vee Simple Fix Program:
- Freezer Meal Prep Class: Simple Fix Freezer Meals are a quick and easy meal solution that will help you put healthy, balanced, wholesome and delicious meals on the table. We offer 5 dietitian-selected recipes with sides for you to take home, freeze, cook and enjoy! All grocery shopping calorie analyzing and prep work are done for you. Just come and assemble your freezer meals and dinner is done. Meals will feed a family of 4.
Young Rembrandts Art Programs: Youth ages 5-12 will experience the magic of color in the Young Rembrandts classroom. Students learn drawing and core learning skills that prepare them for future artistic and academic success. During our once-a-week classes, we use an innovative step-by-step approach on drawing topics your children can relate to and learn from.

Kansas City Chess Club: The Chess Club welcomes all students from advance to beginners. The goal of each club meeting is to have fun while learning chess. The Kansas City Chess Club chess curriculum will guide students from Pawn to King level advancement. Instructors will teach players about important rules, chess etiquette, strategy, openings, endgames, and tactics.
Day Trips: Experience the Kansas City Metro with other members of the Liberty Community through Day Trips with Liberty Parks & Rec. Transportation via the Liberty Access Bus from the Liberty Community Center to various restaurants, attractions, museums, businesses and more is provided so you're able to sit back and enjoy the ride.
Techy Teens and Savvy Seniors: Do you need a little (or a lot) of help with your handheld electronics? Techy Teens at Liberty North High School are eager to help Liberty's Savvy Seniors master their devices!
Matter of Balance: Many older adults experience a fear of falling. People who develop this fear often limit their activities, which can result in physical weakness, making the risk of falling even greater. Matter of Balance (MOB) s a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults ages 50 and better.
