Community Forestry

Community Forestry encompasses a wide range of activities that are required to maintain our community's trees and forest in a strong, healthy condition to maximize the many benefits that trees provide. This includes the following:
  • Planting, mulching, and watering new trees in parks and rights-of-way. Pruning young trees to ensure long-term healthy structure.
  • Removal of hazardous street trees (PDF) or park trees that die or create a safety hazard.
  • Growing trees in the city tree nursery for outplanting to parks and trails.
  • Working with Liberty's Tree Board to address needs and concerns regarding our community forest.
